Mountainairs 2015

Meet the Augusta Mountainairs for 2016.

There are seven teams in the National Basketball League this season, which runs from March through until the end of May, with play-offs scheduled for June.

Each of the teams plays the others in the competition three times, which equates to nine home games and nine away.
Our two imports this year are Marcus Johnson from California and 6’11” Daniel Miller from Georgia.

We have also recruited Jordan Ngatai, who has just finished the ANBL season as a development player with the Breakers, and Tony Tolovae, a development player with the Illawara Hawks.

Fresh out of high school is Logan Elers of Rotorua, who will join Taranaki’s own crop of talented youngsters who have just completed their education, or are still at school: Quintin Bailey, Thane O’Leary and Emmerson Potts-Broughton.

Local men returning again this season are Brad Anderson, Houston O’Riley, Lachlan Fenwick, Jackson Stubbins (originally from Hutt Valley), Beauden Giddy, and your captain, Aaron “Aunty” Bailey-Nowell.
